Master Gardener Online Course 2025

This 16 session Master Gardener training provides approximately 40 hours of education. Join live, virtual classes taught by UW Extension Educators who are experts in their fields, or watch recorded classes when it is convenient. Live classes to be held on Thurday nights via Zoom 6pm - 9pm spring of 2025 schedule.  Enrollment includes a paper copy of the course book to shipped to your local County Extension Office. Topics covered include: Introduction and Overview of the UW Extension Master Gardener Program, Basic Botany, Soils and Composting, Growing Vegetables and Herbs, Water Wise Gardening, Fruit Trees and Small Fruits, Herbaceous Ornamentials and Interior Plants, Woody Ornamentials, Turf and Alternative Turf, Landscape Design, Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Saftey, Plant Diseases and Diagnosing Plant Problems, Weeds, Entomology, and Volunteering in the UW Extension Master Gardener Program.
