Full course description

This series will cover food preservation by boiling water canning, pressure canning, dehydration, and freezing. We have also provided videos for specific canning processes of pickling, making salsa, and making jelly.

 

If you don’t have any prior knowledge on food preservation, please continue this video to learn about the basics. If you’re looking for the videos for each process, check out the other ones we have provided.

 

One of the most important things that we can do to help prevent pathogens from spreading is to wash our hands. We can also help prevent the spread of pathogens by cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces and equipment with a 1 teaspoon bleach per gallon of water solution. Washing produce is also an important step in preventing pathogens from spreading and making others sick.
